I was a the most worthy victim I knew

Before I was introduced to NLP, I had a failed marriage, a failed business and found myself a single bankrupt mum
I was struggling with a history of generational poverty, moved over 20 times before I was 20, DFS - Dysfunctional family Syndrome and everything always seemed to happen to me.

I was trying it all and I was still a victim

THE BIG PROBLEM

I was doing so many things to try and grow personally and professionally.
But all these things just kept happening to me

In the first year as a single mum with 2 small kids, there were times when I felt like a guitar with its last heart string broken, silenced, seeing no way through.

I call these the crying years.

THEN EVERYTHING CHANGED

I was recommended to see this person who used NLP techniques.  Huh!!

Feeling curious, I was willing to give it a try.

So, I sat there and bled on about all of the horrible things that had happened to me, when she asked me if I wanted to give up being a victim.

You mean, I could just give it up? What now?

I travelled back on my timeline and found the first event in my life where I was a victim and reversed the decisions of “I am a victim”

Let me explain. Suppose you’re trying to get rid of a bad habit. You have tried everything from visualization to affirmations, even consciously reminding yourself not to engage in this destructive behavior.

And yet… while you consciously know the habit is bad for you… you keep doing it. Somehow, an urge just keeps creeping back into your consciousness.

It was a good 15 years since I had given up being a victim.  I was in a difficult step-family relationship, depressed, unhappy and started to slip into victimhood.  When my neuropathways fired up and said to me:

“Wait a minute, You're not a victim!” I asked myself: “what is the root cause of my current unhappiness?”

 Understanding the prime directives of the unconscious mind that all  negative emotions are stored and presented to the conscious mind for resolution.

I dug deep into my negative emotions and asked myself:

“ What is the one thing I need to learn, that, if I learnt it, the unconscious mind would resolve itself?” I used my timeline to uncover the unconscious memory of being bullied.  I knew I needed to stand up to bullies learn how to set boundaries.

Just like an onion, I peeled back another layer, and realised that I needed to change my decision from “I need you to like me” to: “I deserve to be respected.”
